The objective of endodontics is to save and preserve the tooth.  At Union City Dental Care Center, we offer a full range of endodontic services (root canal therapy) — non-surgical and surgical endodontic treatment — for children and adults with different treatment complexities. What to expect at your first visit

At your consultation appointment, a dental resident supervised by a specialist-faculty member will examine you and advise you as to the need for treatment, the timing of treatment and the options available for treatment. If this is your first visit to the Union City Dental Care Center, you will receive a comprehensive oral health exam and a full set of X-rays will be taken. In our initial examination, we examine both teeth and risk factors that contribute to possible formation of dental caries (cavities). We then make appropriate treatment recommendations to correct any problems and avoid unnecessary restorations. We also use current prevention strategies to help our patients maintain a lifetime of oral health. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at this appointment. Fees will be discussed as well as flexible payment options and insurance benefits.
