We always make our best efforts to preserve and prevent tooth loss, however, sometimes tooth removal (known as an extraction) is the only alternative. One of the reasons a patient will require an extraction is when their tooth is severely damaged, by trauma or decay, beyond repair.  Other reasons include a crowded mouth requiring orthodontics, wisdom teeth removal, and loosening of the teeth due to periodontal disease.  At Union City Dental Care Center, we offer high-level care and use one of the safest anti-anxiety agents, nitrous oxide (also known as laughing gas), for your comfort.

After the extraction we can provide you with options to replace the tooth.

What to expect at your first visit

During your first visit, you will receive a comprehensive oral health exam and a full set of X-rays will be taken. We will examine both teeth and risk factors that contribute to possible formation of dental caries (cavities). We will also use current prevention strategies to help you maintain a lifetime of oral health. Fees will be discussed as well as flexible payment options and insurance benefits.
